Tutorial with Sara (Friday 6th 2015)

Following a discussion with Sara on friday, I have been able to identify areas of study to research prior to design commencement and progression further into the project.

The book by Morag Martin - selling cosmetics in 18th century is a text that will allow me to visualise the selling style and semiotic context applied to people of the 1700's. 

I also should be trialling initial hair styles from the Keira Knightly film The Duchess prior to designing to get a feel for the shape and textures included within 18th century hair.

The Corson book will allow me to continue hair reasearch within the period and relate this to my characters. 

Looking at 18th century portrayal within our modern day society may also assist my understanding and conceptual ideas regarding my context and design ideas. Looking at the films listed below will allow me to do this;

- amadayus

- the affair of the necklace

- madness of george 4th

- marie antionette film

 Also researching the creative team from these films will benefit my understanding of ideas and process of ideas as well as the quality of work and specialism of the individual artists.
